Biography

Carla Tiragallo is a 33-year-old born and raised in Puerto Rico, now residing in Dorado with her husband and their 3-year-old boy. Her parents, Mauro Tiragallo, Italian and former Costa Cruises Chief Captain, and Mercedes Otero, Interior Designer and Decorator, were the first to bring modern Italian designers furniture to Puerto Rico, when they founded Casa Muebles in 1986.

Carla has a sister, age 29, who is married and lives in Connetticut, and a brother, age 26, who lives in Guaynabo and owns a General Contractor Firm.

Carla graduated from Colegio Maristas in Guaynabo and earned her undergraduate degree in Business at the University of Puerto Rico in 1999. In 2003 she finished her graduate degree in Business with a Finance concentration, while working as Product Manager for Colgate-Palmolive.

Carla was recognized with Colgate-Palmolive’s You can Make a Difference award (YCMAD) for developing a partnership with a major service provider that produced unexpected savings to the company. Following her dream to turn her passion into a business, she earned her wedding planner certification from the Wedding Planning Institute (WPI) in 2009 and started her own Bridal Consulting and Event Planners firm, Organza. She is a member of the Asociación de Coordinadores Sociales Profesionales de Puerto Rico (ACSPPRI) and the Puerto Rico Chamber of Commerce.

In her spare time, Carla likes inline skating around the neighborhood and spending time with her family and friends. She is committed to make the world a better place and so “she walks the talk” as a very active member of her community.
